System Requirements
Gpg4win supports Windows 10 (1809 or later) and Windows 11. Windows Server 2016 (Win 10 Version 1607) is currently still supported, too. Starting from Gpg4win version 5.0.0 only 64bit systems are supported. If you have an older Windows version (at least Windows XP SP3), only the GnuPG part of Gpg4win will work (command line). But use the standalone GnuPG installer, which can be found at gnupg.org, instead of the one for Gpg4win.
The Outlook add-in GpgOL is compatible with Microsoft Outlook (classic) 2021, 2024 and Office 365, both 32 and 64bit. Older versions starting from Outlook 2010 should still work, but those are out of support. GpgOL supports transporting emails via MS Exchange Server and SMTP/IMAP.
The new Outlook version called „Outlook (new)“ is actually a web-client for outlook.com and MS-365. Our GpgOL/Web add-in compatible for this is included in Gpg4win starting from 5.0.0 but is currently (March 2026) still in the "experimental" stage. There may be disruptive changes.
Other Systems
With MacOS X you can use the GPG Suite.
With a GNU/Linux based systems you can use the package manager to install GnuPG and the graphical frontend Kleopatra. Alternatively you can compile GnuPG directly from the sources by yourself.
